Support structure above the suspended ceiling in Sokolovna in Moravský Krumlov: A modern solution for protecting historic buildings
The project of the supporting structure in the Sokolovna hall in Moravský Krumlov represents an innovative approach to the preservation and modernization of historic buildings. The implementation, in cooperation with the general contractor 3V&H for the Moravský Krumlov municipal office, shows how modern technologies can be used to protect old and sensitive structures.
In just four days, a structure was designed and installed over an area of 600 m² that allows the suspension of a false ceiling and ventilation system without loading the thin, nearly 130-year-old ceilings. The structure is firmly anchored to the existing reinforced concrete beams, thus maintaining static safety while allowing for the modernization of the space.
