Atypical roof terrace on a building in the historic center of Brno: A precise solution for demanding conditions
A unique 40 m² roof terrace has been created in the center of Brno, representing a technically demanding project on the building. AUKLAN provided a complete construction solution for a private investor, respecting the historical significance of the building while offering modern functional elements.
The project was completed in just four days in April 2025. The challenge was that the roof was not originally load-bearing, so it was necessary to design a lightweight thin-walled steel structure that could safely support a sauna and hot tub without placing excessive load on the building. The structure was adapted to the irregular shape of the terrace, and thanks to pre-prepared steel brackets, it was possible to install the glass railing quickly and accurately.
